The National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan (9.58%) and the Sovereign Wealth Fund “Samruk Kazyna” (90.42%) are the shareholders of LLP West Gas Energy Company. 15% of the nation’s natural gas and related gas and 25% of its oil and gas condensate are produced by the National Company. 56% of Kazakhstan’s oil is transported via the company’s trunk pipelines.
Oil Refining
Catalysts are used in the secondary oil refinement process at every stage. LLP West Gas Energy, the only oil business in the CIS, has an in-house facility with a 3,000-ton annual production capacity that is used to develop catalytic cracking catalysts. This is not enough for the refinery; it requires more.
Sales of Products
In order to meet market demand, LLP West Gas Energy ensures that flows of crude oil, natural gas, and petroleum products are distributed appropriately on both domestic and international markets. Transportation expenses are minimized because the corporation owns the infrastructure and pipes needed to transship.
