Production

The Uzen and Karamandybas oil and gas fields, which have a complex geological structure and distinct oil characteristics due to a high amount of paraffin and asphaltene-resinous components, are being developed by the business. The company is divided into sixteen production structural divisions, four of which are dedicated to producing oil and gas, the other departments to treating and producing oil, and auxiliary departments that carry out a variety of services.

As of right now, the company is carrying out the Production Modernization Program. A Workshop for Diagnostics and Repair of Underground Equipment (TsDRPO) was constructed and placed into service as part of the Program. With its capacity, it can yearly repair 400,000 tubing, 300,000 sucker rods, and 10,000 deep pumps. It is important to highlight that there are no comparable workshops in Kazakhstan or the CIS nations. On September 1, 2017, a workshop for washing and cleaning underground equipment and pipes from oil was opened next to the TsDRPO in an effort to raise the caliber of maintenance work. A residential complex with showers and space for 70 individuals to change clothes is made possible by the workshop.

Oil Refining

Catalysts are used in the secondary oil refinement process at every stage. LLP West Gas Energy, the only oil business in the CIS, has an in-house facility with a 3,000-ton annual production capacity that is used to develop catalytic cracking catalysts. This is not enough for the refinery; it requires more. Most other Kazakhstani oil refineries also import hydro-process catalysts, which include hydrocracking and hydrotreating. In order to establish a new industry, LLP West Gas Energy is presently expanding catalyst production in Omsk. With 15,000 tons of catalysts for catalyzing cracking, 4,000 tons for hydrotreating, and 2,000 tons of products for hydrocracking, the new factory can produce 21,000 tons of catalysts annually according to its design capability.

The national has been provided by the Kazakhstani Ministry of Energy. The Company’s refining efforts have been concentrated on satisfying the market’s demand for premium petroleum products in recent years. Over time, LLP West Gas Energy was able to improve the quality and variety of its products while also increasing its competitiveness by modernizing its refineries. The oil industry in Kazakhstan is currently working on its largest-scale project, which involves renovating oil refining facilities.

Sales of Products

In order to meet market demand, LLP West Gas Energy ensures that flows of crude oil, natural gas, and petroleum products are distributed appropriately on both domestic and international markets. Transportation expenses are minimized because the corporation owns the infrastructure and pipes needed to transship petroleum products and crude oil. With the right infrastructure and a solid marketing strategy, LLP West Gas Energy can sell petroleum products both domestically and internationally.

In 2018, LLP West Gas Energy exported 25.3 million tons of petroleum products. (It is projected to reach 10.2 million tons in 2020.) Due to the Company’s independent deliveries of premium fuel oil produced at the refinery to ports in the Baltic and Black Seas in 2019, the product’s market value increased.
